CURRICULUM & SCHOOL SCHEDULE

The school's curriculum utilizes the A Beka system. We focus on a traditional approach to learning with a heavy emphasis on student/ teacher interaction designed to meet each student's individual needs. Our curriculum includes comprehensive programs in Systematic Phonics, Advanced Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Art and Music Appreciation, and Computer Studies, utilizing the latest technology.

At Nicaea Academy, studies are highlighted by daily prayer and basic, non-denominational Bible study in order to foster Christian principals of strong character, good moral conduct, respect for authority, and personal responsibility.

Recreational and social programs, including teacher/parent supervised Field Trips, are also an integral part of the student's academic experience at Nicaea Academy.

A Beka Book

What is A Beka Book?

A Beka Book is the "premier" Christian textbook publisher, serving Christian schools for over thirty years with over 1,000 educational products. Over 750,000 students in Christian schools use A Beka book.

What will A Beka book do for my child?

A Beka Book's systematic phonics program teaches students to read at an early age.  Students also receive strong character-building reading selections.  Grammar and creative writing give the students consistent daily practice and review.  Spelling, vocabulary, and poetry help students improve their ability to read, write, think, and speak.  Penmanship is taught step by step consistently throughout the program.

A Beka Book's arithmetic program uses a traditional, spiral review approach to help students develop thinking skills for daily living.  The science and health program teaches the students about creation and the Creator-refuting man-made ideas of evolution.  The history and geography program is developed from a Christian perspective with patriotic character-building content.  Fine Arts electives in art, music, and speech are also available.  Your child can receive a first-class academic education with this curriculum.  Many students have attain superior academic achievement.
